From a humble egg, to a galactic empire - Back to Save the Universe provides a sandbox of solar systems, planets, and factions for you to play with. Balance the forces of the universe and create a utopia society, or lean into chaos and cause trouble.
Overview
In Back to Save the Universe you play as a recommisioned AI created by Earth that has recently been reactivated by the galactic government in order to rebuild a human population within the universe.
In this 4X game inspired by: Kenshi, Civilization, Spore, Total War, Tomogachi, and StarCraft -- you will build space stations, expand your territory, engage in politics, work the market, defend your planets, and create a global force to rival the status quo.
Create space stations to craft and stockpile advanced resources
Make friends and foes in a complex storied universe
Each solar system has its own market, allowing you to buy low, sell high, and influence demand
Engage in space battles and navigate your own fighter in first person combat
Hatch eggs and raise workers to live on your space stations
Defend and attack planets in a total war inspired RTS mode
In the 500 years the followed Earth's admission into the galactic union, the civilization collapsed upon itself, causing its own destruction through nuclear warfare and unneighborly behavior.
After the nuclear wars, Earth returned to the stone age, ands its colony on Mars desended into violent madness. in order to maintain peace throughout the universe the anunnaki stepped up to defeat the humans on mars, annex their solar system, and promised to defend the galactic union against any remaining human threats.
2000 years later, after much discussion of war crimes and what should have been done, a conservation bill passed in the galactic union, providing startup money for any AI that was willing to raise a fresh human population.
As an AI built on earth before the collapse of civilization, you have a soft spot for the fleshy devils and agree to task. Now its your turn to redeem the human species, or seek your revenge!
